A question from an acupuncturist in a Facebook group, Acupuncturists on Facebook This is a very vague question but I am hoping some of you seasoned Acus out there might be able to offer some insight. A patient asked "can you help with Kidney disease" From what she understands one Kidney is functioning at 70% and the other at 40%. This is her grown step-daughter, and she is looking into how to help her using CAM. She doesn't have all the info so I don't have a dx, or much of a grasp of her specific situation. After doing some research I feel like my initial thought of: yes, to help slow down the process, reduce inflammation and allow your body to be in the best functioning state was right. However, I wanted to hear some success stories (or not so much) from all of your wonderful peeps. Thank you!
There could be so many causes and factors have caused kidney disease. Also, there are so many different symptoms and quantifiable diagnosis. However, one of the western medicine's most struggling fields is about kidney diseases. You can almost say that there is no remedy to western medicine except for dialysis.
There could be a number of approaches for KOSA. Since her condition might be regarded as serious and as other conditions and health history are not known, Ascetic Saahm's formula #3, quenching kidney would probably be the initial approach.
Based on Ascetic Saahm's formula #3, quenching kidney, subdue LI5, ST41, SI5, BL60 and LR2. This is the treatment, not just to slow down process.
